Could there be a more appropriate event that the Alaskan Scottish Club should host than a Golf Tournament? With Scotland being the home of Golf, we think not! So, grab 3 friends, throw on a kilt or some Tartan schwag and join the Scots for a day of Golf and Scottish fun (while Kilts and Tartan are not required, they are enthusiastically encouraged).

This is not your average golf tournament. This tourney is one of the most entertaining golf events in Alaska.  The event hosts up to 30 teams of 4 golfers and features all things Scottish before, during and after the tournament. From bagpipers and drummers, Highland Dancers, Scotch, and multiple Scottish-themed games, your day will be filled with Scottish amusement. After a day out on the course, golfers and non-golfers are invited to join us for a dinner Ceilidh (Scottish Party) which will include delicious food options, Scottish entertainment, and a Scotch tasting.  

If this isn't exciting enough, the tournament will feature the most Scottish Hole In One prizes around. A trip to play at the Home of Golf...St Andrews. This 7-day/6-night hole in one prize package includes green fees, overnight accommodations, daily breakfast and roundtrip airfare for two. Four of the nights you’ll spend in the heart of St. Andrews. You'll be playing New St. Andrews, Old, St. Andrews, and Carnoustie which hosted the 2018 British Open. Your stay will followed by 2 nights at the deluxe Turnberry Resort.  There, you will be playing Turnberry Kintyre and Turnberry Ailsa, the British Open venue which is the highest ranked course in the British Isles.

More about The Alaskan Scottish Club (ASC): The Alaskan Scottish Club is a non-profit organization established to promote the Scottish culture, heritage and teachings to the people of Alaska.  We achieve this through events, workshops, concerts and other social gatherings in Alaska throughout the year. The Alaska Scottish Highland Games is the largest event the ASC puts on and brings approx. 20,000 people throughout the State of Alaska and beyond together to celebrate the traditions and culture of Scotland. Money, from this fundraising event, will help to continue the events that the ASC holds year round, along with helping to fund the Alaskan Scottish Club's Education Assistance Program. This Program encourages and assists interested applicants in developing an understanding, appreciation, and study of Scottish lore in music, sports, dancing, traditions, heritage, literature and art by awarding Scholarships.
