Clinics: Our Highland Games 101 clinics are perfect for a new thrower to learn the basic form and techniques of each throw. They are also great for the seasoned thrower looking to knock the rust off and get help with their technique. The clinics are open to both Juniors and Adults. We are excited to be welcoming Women's Professional Kristine Rothwell from Idaho to coach our clinics this year. She will be hosting 2 clinics over the first weekend in June.
- June 1 Clinic-Anchorage: 9am-4pm Location: TBD Cost: $40.00
- June 2 Clinic-Fairbanks: 9am-4pm Location: TBD Cost: $40.00
We are currently finalizing the location details for both clinics and will update as soon as we have a confirmed location.
Open Practice/Pre Games Get Together: June 22nd - Location: TBD While we will no longer be offering a clinic the weekend before the games, we want to keep the tradition of getting together the weekend before the games alive. We will be offering an open practice/pre games get together. All athletes are invited to attend. All Throwing implements will be available to practice with. It will be a great chance to get one last good practice in, warm up for the games, and visit with friends. We will also be doing a Potluck BBQ if there is interest. Location is TBD. The event is free and there is no limit to the number of attendees, although please RSVP through the registration.
Athletics Shirts are only included with a Athletic Registration. If you are signing up for a clinic only or a Challenge Event (Farmers Walk or Challenge Stone) only you will not receive a shirt.
Customized athletic shirts: This is only to customize the shirt included with your athletic registration. Shirts with your name or nickname on the back are available for $10.00. All personalization will be reviewed by the Athletic Director for appropriateness and limited to 12 characters maximum. Please add this option from the Registration Options. This year athletes will also have the choice between T-Shirt or Sleeveless Shirts for their athletic shirt. There is no additional charge for this and you can make your selection at check-out.
There will be no field entries accepted for Heavy Events. Challenge Stone and Farmer's Walk registrations will be accepted on the day of games if space is still available.
